MS Diagnosis – Marcels Story

It started the Spring of 1982 in Marthalen (Switzerland). I had just turned 21 years old and it should have been a normal working day. When I woke up that morning, I couldn‘t see properly. My vision had deteriorated so much in a short time that I had to stop working for three weeks. My family doctor was not able to assign any disease to these symptoms and I forgot about this incident after few weeks. I blamed it on my stressful job situation. In subsequent years, these symptoms did not reappear.

In my spare time, I had a very active sporting life, mainly include jogging, fitness and skiing. For the coordination problem that I had in my muscles, my family doctor could not provide a clear diagnosis…
