Orphanbiotec team is made up of co-workers coming from various fields and disciplines. Employees represent interdisciplinary cooperation, high motivation and broad background of successful cooperation.
Dr. Frank Grossmann, CEO set up and directed a clinic after his studies in veterinary medicine. After moving into the pharmacetical industry, he took over responsabilities in regularory management, development, sales and business development. He obtained specific training at SMGP in herbal active ingredients. For many years, he has been teaching pharmaceutical active ingredients as a free lecturer at ETH Zürich. He is a member of several professional societies.
Anja Sachse studied communications and has several years experience in public and media relations. She has supported our international work since 2010. In Germany, Anja was responsible for the entire communication and marketing campaign „land of ideas“ at the intersection of politics, economy and society. In addition, she was responsible for the communication in international conferences in Berlin, as well as, development of aid projects in South Africa. Furthermore, she is a qualified freelance consultant focusing on project management, concept development, quality management and project evaluation.
Stephanie Braghero has worked throughout her entire career in the healthcare sector within and across the private and public sectors both in Europe and in the United States. She holds a specialised MSc. in International Healthcare Management, Economics & Policy from SDA Bocconi. Stephanie passionately believes in initiatives which enable patients’ access to medicines and treatments, particularly among marginalised populations. Through this passion and being responsible for Corporate Partnering, she supports Foundation Orphanbiotec in raising awareness of rare diseases and helping to prioritise this niche market by bringing it to the forefront of the healthcare agenda and in securing strategic partnerships across the vast spectrum of private, public, and non-profit players. She works closely with our CEO on development and fundraising initiatives and supports the primary goals of the foundation’s patient empowerment program.
Dr. Pilar Ruiz Sanchez Project manager of development projects and maintains our website and new media. After completing her studies and doctorate at the University of Zurich, she moved to continue in other areas. Pilar is now responsible for internet publishing and new media such as Web 2.0.
volunteer / freelance:
Dr. Thomas Loenneker, project management research and fundraising. After obtainig his degree in physics and PhD in physical chemistry, he worked as a researcher in recognized medical and pharmacological institutes in Germany, Singapore, France and Switzerland. Most recently, he led successful neuroscience projects at the Children‘s University Hospital of Zurich. He was also a lecturer at the universty. Thomas is responsible for the scientific management of our research projects.
